FCE B and D: Monday and Tuesday 3rd and 4th December

We continued looking at part 3 of the speaking exam then moved on to writing stories using pages 56 and 57 of the coursebook. We talked about how good stories need interesting characters, a good plot with lots of twists and turns, vivid language and often a cliffhanger ending.

The homework is to finish writing your story and to do exercises 3 and 5 on page 55 of the coursebook. If you’d like to look at some examples of stories written by FCE students, look here, here and here.

Finally, here’s a short checklist you can use before you send me your story. Have you remembered to include everything?
